The Process
Scott begins the relationship with a comprehensive wellness interview and 2 hour assessment. This process involves: an in-depth questionnaire that helps Scott identify symptoms of disease and stress, a variety of tools used to measure range-of-motion, a visual examination, and the use of a camera to record various body positions. Over a 2 hour session the combination of the information collected helps Scott create a program specifically tailored to each individual client. The methods used by Corrective Exercise Specialists are scientifically proven, safe and effective.

There are four phases of training. The length of each phase is dependent upon the athletic ability of each client. Each phase will last between 4-6 weeks, until next evaluation to move forward to the next level.

Corrective Exercise
Corrective exercise is personally tailored exercise designed to bring you towards better physical function and health. Many common problems such as low back pain, knee, hip and shoulder pain, neck tension and headaches are the result of poor postural alignment. Accelerated degeneration or ‘wear and tear’ of discs and joints are not inevitable as we age if we have correct and optimal mechanics in movement. Postural correction is therefore the corner stone for reduced pain, improved aesthetics, optimum well-being and daily function in the body and mind. A corrective exercise program that is specifically designed for you will first restore flexibility and mobility. Stability and postural strength will be established before introducing strength and power exercises to meet the demands of your daily life, sport or work.

During your first week I can film your sessions and supply you with a DVD. We can then sit down together and go over any corrections that need pointing out in relation to posture and exercise technique. This is charged at £100 and includes an edited DVD for you to keep and full analysis as we watch the dvd together over an hour session.
